Riding requires more strength and fitness than we imagine. You are doing a repetitive and strenuous movement, and, especially if you ride often and don’t take care of your body, you will limit your suppleness and strength both on and off the horse. Starting a measured exercise program of just twenty minutes a few times a week can help you avoid injuries and strengthen you for riding and for everything you enjoy doing. Stretching and yoga is also important.
